Welcome to the NDC Developer Documentation. NDC (Nexoria Development Chat) provides a rich developer platform with real-time WebSocket events and REST APIs to build bots, automations, and integrations for your communities.

Set up your application, generate bot tokens, and configure OAuth2 scopes in the [Developer Portal](/getting-started/creating-an-app/). Follow the step-by-step [Quickstart Tutorial](/getting-started/first-bot/) to write a simple Ping-Pong bot in Node.js or Python. Connect to the WebSocket Gateway to receive real-time events like `MESSAGE_CREATE` and `GUILD_CREATE`. Explore the [Gateway Reference](/gateway/overview/). Send messages, create channels, manage roles, and upload attachments using the [HTTP REST API](/http-api/).
  • The Gateway (WebSocket): Sends real-time dispatches from NDC to your bot. Whenever someone sends a message, reacts with an emoji, or joins a voice channel, a gateway event is delivered.
  • The REST API (HTTP): Used whenever your bot wants to take an action—such as sending a message, creating an invite, or modifying server settings.

All bot requests to the REST API authenticate using:

Authorization: Bot <your_bot_token>

Learn more about managing your credentials in Bot Authentication & Security.

Every resource in NDC (users, channels, messages, guilds) is identified by a unique 64-bit integer called a Snowflake. Snowflakes contain a built-in timestamp, allowing you to easily sort items chronologically. Read the Snowflakes Guide.

All endpoints are rate-limited to maintain high reliability and performance across the platform. Read Rate Limits to understand request headers and backoff handling.
